There can only be one winner. For me, Py shines the brightest out of the handful of lady gems twinkling their way to the top of the UK’s burgeoning music scene. This track isn’t “sweet, or cute, or ‘just fun.’” It’s off-kilter genius. Pairing Py’s sultry, soul singer vocal stylings with one of the best producers in the game, George Fitzgerald, was just brilliant. The result is a whirlwind of heavenly dance beats that have been poured through a vat of thick honey-esque vocal arrangements. Everything about this track screams next level.
The video for “Lungs” premiered earlier this week on Dazed & Confused and includes a short little interview with Jade Pybus. Be sure to check it.
